Southbank - London
"Rural New Zealand, 1975: Billy is an overweight 13-year-old who spends his time fantasising and playing with Lou, his older, rugby-playing tomboy cousin. Their idyllic friendship is then put under strain by the appearance of a handsome farmhand. Sexual secrets, betrayal and a touch of melodrama add up to a funny and unforgettable portrait of developing self-awareness. This hit at the 20th LLGFF is finally released in the UK."
