			Name: Charlie Position: LGBT Executive Role: My role as LGBT exec. is to represent all LGBT students at Kingston University. It is my job to ensure that LGBT students are not discriminated against by the university or the students' union. I achieve this by campaigning on behalf of LGBT students, by attending and engaging in forums concerning the local LGBT community, by working with key stakeholders to achieve equality, by offering my full support to the LGBT society and to support students on an individual basis. Bio: I am a third year student at Kingston University studying for my undergraduate degree in English literature with human rights. I have been on the committee of the LGBT society ever since I started uni and have adopted the roles of secretary, open place officer and president. 			Name: Karisa Position: Womens Officer Role: My role as the Women's Officer is a new role this year, in title only. It is my job to act as co-president with the Open Place Officer and make decisions about the society. We co-ordinate activities, events and make sure things run smoothly in the group. Along with organising these things we run the committee meetings ensuring that all things such as publicity and funds are in good standing. Overall, my position ensures that women are fairly represented in all LGBT matters in the society and that they are not overlooked. Bio: I am a second year student studying film and television. This however seems rather obvious at first as I can't shut up about either subject, but incidental as most people never use their degree anyway. I love a good pastry (normally one that is round with a hole in it) and have high aspirations of someday kicking that addiction. I'd like to think I'm active, but who are we kidding, I'm a film student and the most active I get is walking to and from the bakery or pub. My sense of humour is off beat and possibly off putting, but don't let that scare you. I'm American as well and will probably make a bunch of "America is better" comments; but, in reality I wouldn't want to be anywhere other than England as I have fallen deeply in love with it and hope to one day gain citizenship. 			Name: Matt Position: Open Place Officer Role: As Open Place Officer I act as co-president of the society. My job is to monitor the overall activity of the society and the committee also to run the society along with the woman's officer. We organise, chair all meetings and steer the LGBT society. It is us who have the overall say on what goes on at the LGBT. I work closely with the LGBT executive officer and other stakeholders in the university and community to ensure that Kingston LGBT remains a valuable space for LGBT students at Kingston University. Bio: Hey my names Matt, im a 21 year old post graduate currently doing a PGCE in secondary education at Kingston Hill Campus before that studied at Penrhyn Road campus doing a Biology degree. So have been at Kingston for a long time and know it well! Been a member of the society for 2 years (this being my third) and previously held the position of treasurer. I like listening to music, socialising and meeting new people. I especially like going out and having a good time (drink normally being involved) and am a regular visitor to oceana and Soho. 			Name: Jo Position: Secretary Role: As secretary I can usually be found in an LRC seminar room writing minutes from each committee meeting, or keeping up to date on what we do in our weekly meetings, so that this can be used for future reference. My role also entails being the person who whill send you emails letting you all know what we have planned, and contacting people within KUSU or outside agencies. Basically I record everything that our wonderful society has achieved so that it can be preserved for future committees :) Bio: Well my name is Joanna, Jo to my friends, and anyone who isn't my dad, who seems to find calling me Joanna somewhat amusing. I'm studying Criminology and Sociology in my third year this coming september, and have been a member of LGBT since first year. I don't know what I want to do when I finish uni, and in first year I expected that at this time of my 'studying' i would have some sort of clue, but it seems it is a waiting game. I like meeting new and interesting people, and finding free time between work and uni to relax, eat and drink to my heart's content. I like to play the flute, although it has fallen slightly by the wayside due to lack of time and/or inclination, and because since first year I have been a Facebook addict, as i'm sure many people are aware this can cause major problems in carrying out everyday tasks with the constant need to refresh. 			Name: James Position: Treasurer Role: As the treasurer of the LGBT its my job to manage and keep track of the society funds and work with the committee and KUSU to use our funds for our ideas for activities and events.
